Hey everyone,
I recently installed a remote oil filter mount on my 70 Trans Am. The remote mount is bolt to the car in a position where is causes the oil filter to be at a 30 degree angle. Is this ok? Does it matter if the filter is mounted at a 30 degree angle? The reason I asked is because I noticed there was some oil leaking around the back side of the oil filter gasket were it seals to the remote filter adapter. Not sure if it is a bad filter gasket (FRAM HP4) or if it is because I mounted the filter at a 30 degree angle. Here is a picture of the remote filter mount. Just by coincidence it is actually mounted at an angle just like it is displayed in the picture.
