Hi guys. So im working on my 64 falcon sprint, and im in debate of what to do with exhaust. I was at speed fest here in San Diego today and saw multiple cars with straight pipes and boom tubes racing the track. Everything from classic mustangs to stock cars. Im wondering what my options are for exhaust on her.
She has a very healthy 347 roller motor with a 4 speed top loader behind her. Currently has I believe 2.5" (I havent gone under to measure yet) going into super 40's cut off before the axle.... Im wondering what are some good flowing options. A guy today showed me his boom tube and dang that sucker sounds like a frigin stock car at Daytona! And he was barely pushing 380hp. Another guy had some stubby flow masters with oval exits before the wheels on both sides. Not sure what to do cuz usually im throwing super 40's on 70's ford trucks. but with this falcon id like it to look and sound like a race car. Boom tubes seem cool and is low profile but there must me some decent sounding mufflers that would also be an option.
Any suggestions are appreciated ex) oval exhaust size etc
