Well, here is my new project, a 1990 Mustang Gt.
My wife is the original owner and she wants something to play with while I'm running the Camaro.
The plan is to upgrade to 13" Cobra brakes, Maximum Motorsports suspension parts, 18" wheels & tires, keep the interior mostly stock, repaint, rewire, and generaly upgrade to modern technology.
The motor & trans will get a complete rebuild while upping the hp into the 400rwhp range.
I'm sure the plans will change and morph as we go.
I started by ordering a set of 94 spindles plus a new m/c so we can upgrade to the North Racecars big brake kit. Like the C6 kit we used from Kore-3 for the Camaro, this will keep everything stock so we can get parts on the road if we need to.
Here is what we are starting with. A completly stock 1990 Mustang GT. Body is in very good shape except for the paint. Interior is also in very good condition except for the drivers seat. It's where my butt was for about 10 years as this was my daily driver for that time period.

Over the next few weeks I would like to pull the engine, gut the interior, pull all of the body molding off, pull the wiring, and pull the suspension out.
Should keep me busy.

Ahhh, a good 'ol 5.0L!
Really like these cars. My father bought a '88 GT new, and there was nothing cooler than to be a kid driving a 5.0, back in the day!
The really great thing, is that these engines respond so well to simple upgrades. Should be a fun project.

What happened to this project?
Got stalled a bit. Still working on the Camaro. Been collecting parts in the mean time.
Hope to get it started this summer.

This project has to start soon or the wife will kill me in my sleep.
Have been collecting parts to modernize it a bit.
Since the Camaro's new LS motor is on the engine stand I already have, it's time for a extra one.
Went on Craigs list to see what was around before I went and bought a new one.
Within 2 minutes I found a brand new one for only $30. Had it picked up within 20 minutes.
But since I can't leave anything alone and the stand is orange at the moment, something has to be done. Upgrade to grade 8 bolts and a new paint job will come tomorrow.

That stand needs speed holes, candy apple red metallic flip flop chamelion paint and dlc coated bearings for the wheels. And something from Ridetech.

Well, after much back and forth the wife has finally picked the wheels she wants for her Mustang.
Now I know what spindles and brake size to get. Should look awesome on the car.

Great project car! I have an '88 convertible that we endurance race with. A really fun car to drive. We have the complete Maximum Motorsport suspension setup on it as well as the Cobra brakes. It took a while to get the brakes to perform consistently for 8-hour races but we have finally got the right combination. We are using a 347 cubic inch setup with AFR heads.
I have the same problem with too many projects and not enough time and money! Good luck with project and I look forward to more updates.
