The car is located in Atlanta, GA
The basics:69 GTO (real 242 car) convertible. The car is unrestored but has been maintained and updated over the years. I am the 3rd owner, bought from an old friend in 2006. The car was painted in 1981, still shiny and presentable. At a large show here last weekend it was one of the few that people were posing with for pictures. Original interior except carpets. New top 2 years ago with glass window. Factory AC works. Updated dash with Speedhut Can-Bus gauges, hidden Alpine head unit and Kicker amp. Lots more OE options and several added. 3M top of the line Chrystalline 40% window tint, cuts down heat transfer.
Powertrain: 2004 LQ4 6.0 with intercooled Magnacharger. Dougs coated headers and mounts. Fairly stock engine, idles dead smooth will rip the tires apart with no hesitation. Updated electronics, E40 ECM and T42 TCM. Basic tune by BlueCat. Modified OEM harness. 2005 4L60E works well, no issues. 8.5' 10 bolt posi rear 3.55 gears.
Chassis: UMI tubular control arms front and rear with roto-joints. Very smooth action, drives straight as a string and rides better than my wife's 335i and C300. QA1 coil overs at all 4 corners. Custom rear mounts moved forward of axle. Absolutely no wheel hop. Baer brakes front and rear. OE sway bars. American Torque Thrust M wheels 17x8 & 17x9 245-45/17 & 275-40/17
Northern Aluminum radiator, B&M trans cooler, extra large AC condenser, Grand Cherokee steering box, Magnaflow stainless exhaust, B-body fuel tank, Aeromotive Stealth 340 fuel pump, Tons more I can't think of now.
This is a car you can jump into at any time and drive cross country without a hitch. It always attracts attention and gets thumbs up and lots of horn honking. I have driven 350 miles at a stretch getting 23 mpg if I stay at 70 mph, which is pretty hard to do since the car really like to see 80-85 mph keeping up with traffic. I even drove it as my daily driver for a couple weeks while straightening out some issues with my truck.
Price = $28,500.00, I will consider partial trade, Porsche 996, BMW Z3 Z4 or ?, Sport Touring motorcycle (sorry no Harley's not my thing). I don't need to sell it so don't waste your time and mine by lowballing. I am simply at a point where I am bored and looking at options.
Lots more pictures available, if interested I will send you any you want.
I will add more pictures tomorrow.
