thanks for the comments. This truck fought me to the bitter end. but now all that's left is to change the gears and go to Road America.

s10 frame and body. metric Monte Carlo IMCA suspension (control and trailing arms). Coil springs front and rear with adjustable Screw jacks. the motor is 350ci 350hp 400ft lb. torque. Muncie short range 4 speed (need to change gears, 3;73 wont get me over 100mph). 10 bolt metric monte rear end. and it LOVES round abouts! basically built just like my Sportsman oval track Race car, but equaled left and right springs because I was sick of only turning left. Always wanted to run road coarse tracks like Road America and love early S10's.

Looks like a huge fun per buck build

I know it's not a fancy build (probably why I like it), do you have a build tread somewhere?

I wish I would've done a full frame off like I do for my race cars but needed something to beat on. Will be doing a lot more over the winter. now that I've had a chance to race it I have a lot of ideas and work to do on it. Most of the parts were from my old Street Stock/ sportsman cars so I guess it kind of was a low buck build, 5 hard racing seasons on crate motor. Going to redo rear axles and front hubs with more of a stockish studs and wheel nuts so I'm not limited to just Basset style rims. then would like to go with aluminum racing wheels(16''s and 17''s), and taller/wider tires(10''wide wheels), especially on the rear. while in the rear end switching gears into more of the 3:42 area from 3:73s (so I can do over 110mph in the Straits). would love to put a 6 speed in it but VERY limited with $ (thanx to a 1952 Chevy Gasser build). as far as a build thread I'm not sure what that is so I will have to say no. sorry. Please feel free to inform me. I'm new to the whole Forum thing and not on computers much.

Very cool truck! I like those model trucks. I have priced them out numerous times, but I already have too many toys.

A build thread is simply a thread all about your truck. Typical build threads start with before photos of the truck and then show all the steps that you did along the way. It can be a good way of getting ideas for your truck or for sharing ideas with other people. Personally, those are the reason I visit most forums these days is to read through the various build threads.
