Anyone done this?
Any aftermarket tilt columns have this as an option?

Thanks in advance!!

having the dimmer switch on the floor is the best thing EVER!!!!! I wish I could move the new car ones to the old school floor style

You are probably right
Maybe just a nice cover for it

I have to agree with Rod on this. I think moving your hand(possibly the one controlling the steering wheel) while diving a night around a bend with high beems on could be a bit dangerous. Plus I just like it on the floor. Wish the OE's would move it back to the floor.

Lokar has some nice covers, even in black so it can disappear.

Jim at gmtilt.com can make a custom column that moves the dimmer switch to the turn signal lever, similar to modern cars.

A lot of 73+ GM columns have the high beam switch built in. As an added bonus, most of them are tilt as well. I bought two at a local salvage yard for $25 each and just combined the best parts to make one column. It bolted into my 1970 Chevelle without much fuss.

I'm planning the same thing but I think I'll just mount a rocker switch on the console. I'm in a wheelchair and drive with hand controls so a floor switch is not ideal lol.
