I'm looking for some info on where I can find a modern looking interior for my 1970 Cutlass S. I love the LLC Shop interior but at $15k it is not in my budget anymore. HAHA.. The Mrs gave me one of those "You better not buy it looks". So would the 06 GTO dash fit? Or what other modern type dash would go in the A-Body. Thanks..

Is there anything wrong with the factory dash? 70 Cutlass had one of my favorite dashes of the A-bodies, nothing new compares IMO.

It seems like most anything can be made to fit, but I kind of agree with the above in that the original is pretty cool. If it were me I'd just try to modernize the current dash, say by getting rid of the hideous wood, maybe vinyl wrap it or have some anodized aluminum made to cover it. After that it would be a fairly painless process to modernize the rest of the interior with better gauges, seats, etc.
Some guy here did put a gto dash in his firebird, looks cool but was tons of work.

^Exactly. Expanding further, modernizing the original is a great alternative. I did a 72 LeSabre before with the woodgrain dash, built pro-touring like 8 years ago. Wood didn't fit, so I found some decal/sticker material that resembled engine turned metal, much like the early 70's GTO's and Firebirds. Looked awesome when I was done. Brought it up to date and was easy to do. The 3 large gauge pods make it easy to adapt 5" gauges behind the cluster, or create a plate for the face that will allow you to do whatever you want. I just personally (just my opinion and therefore doesn't mean squat) think that the "modern" car dashes in an old car can date a car, especially since modern car dashes evolve so much anymore (I think the GTO dashes look dated personally), but the original dashes are timeless. Just thinking aloud, since once a car is converted it's very, very hard to go back.

I will look into modernizing the original dash. The one I have is in very good condition. I will see what I can thing of. The controls on the original dash are depressing to me.

The good thing about the Cutlass dash is that all the main panels with the switches, and gauges are flat. You can build new overlay panels to configure the switches in your configuration, and pretty much have it look like it was engineered like that from the factory.
