Well finally after a blessing from above and a lot of hard work a lot of time. I finally bought a 64 cutlass. It doesn't run at the moment but it has all the stock parts in it, including a 330 small block and a 2 speed auto. Sooooo... My intentions are to builds competitive auto crosser, this is my first build I have a low/mid budget and I really have no clue what setup I whants to pursue. I would like to get it running with aftermarket suspension and a modest. Amount of Hp to begin with and go from there.
So what do you guys/galsthink what would be a viable budget Engine, trans, suspension set up ?and what do you guys think would be capable of getting me at least somewhat competitive? I know I'll probably have to ditch the 330 and the trans so I'm thinking a 350 small block or an LS one with a used T 56 as far as drivetrain. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!
P.S. The stock color scheme is a midnight mist blue (navyish) with the lite blue int. i may keep the int and go white. I really don't know what kind of colors to go with to get it looking aggressive lol.
