Here's the garage, about 98% complete.

My compressor (5 HP, 60 Gallon)

The bookcase for my car books, they were taking up too much room in the house bookcase. There is many more I haven't found yet...it also doubles as bench support.

I'm pretty sure this is the one... 673 RPMS

http://www.c-aireinc.com/Fact%20Sheet%20PDF/A050V060-1230.pdf

We have a similar compressor in our mechanic shop, with 3 guys it seems to work just fine. We have major water problems, but that's because whoever installed the piping didn't understand how to it should be designed... my dad! I hope to re-do it someday, but it's hard when the shop needs to be functioning 6 days out of the week... and when I don't get paid overtime for such things... and when my dad doesn't believe it's necessary! Water will come spraying out of tools on a day where we are running grinders a lot. In his defense, we really don't ruin air tools very often either, I've had the same impacts for 10 years or more. Went through a couple air grinders in that time though.

Looks great! What are the dimensions of your garage? I just moved and am working on getting my 1 car garage organized so I can fit my Nova and still be able to do some work haha. Yours is good inspiration!

Impressive....well planned with what appears to be plenty of work space; I'm jealous.

Curious how loud that compressor is, being in the same room?

Very Nice!

Thanks everyone!

The garage is 12X24 and doesn't have a lot of elbow room, even with a small car in it ('70 Datsun 2000). If I worked on a normal sized car I'd move the shelves into my shed.

The compressor isn't terribly loud, the stereo covers it up easily :)

For some reason I didn't notice there was a Garage section in the forum.

Could a mod/admin move this thread to the Garage section?

Nice garage, I picked up the 3 cylinder model compressor,, haven't used it a whole lot but it seems to do a good job.

Nice to see you here Chad, I posted this at SPI's website as well but under my painted fridge door thread.

Very nice! I love the C-Aire compressor. I buy several of them every month from Jason and his guys and they are very strong.

My Garage is about the same size and I crammed a Rotary 4 Post Lift in there.

What type of flooring is that

mitch_04
09-15-2014, 05:16 AM
Armstrong VCT industrial tile. The kind of things you see in hospitals, shopping malls, etc etc. There is some downsides, but generally a good floor. Biggest downside is no welding without laying down a blanket.

So it will hold up to driving on it

Yeah, a lot of people have done this floor in garages. If you look around on Garage Journal's forum there is many threads on the ups and downs of it.
