While I may not have the typical car for the Pro Touring style I am really looking forward to starting my build and learning from all of the great stuff I've seen here. I've been lurking here for a couple of years off and on, almost signed up when I had my 71 Chevelle but sold it soon after finding the site. Decided to come back when I got my newest ride, 1967 Ford LTD. I know, I know.....it's a tank. It's a true little old lady's car, one owner and never left town. It still wears the local Ford dealer's badge on the trunk. The car has the original 390/C6 and is a good runner with about 130k miles on the clock. The suspension on the other hand leaves A LOT to be desired. It just floats along, bushings are dried out and worn, and the 4 wheel drum brakes with no power assist are fun too. I can picture what I want it to be in my head, just need help getting it there.

I plan on air suspension and tubular parts where I can get them for this car, aftermarket support is terrible for the '67. I need to put it on a diet where possible and will eventually either stroke the FE motor or do away with it for a modern upgrade. Definitely want to do a 5spd conversion since future plans include the power tour with my 2 kids and Father. Here she is!

I also have a late model Mustang GT that has some bolt-on mods. She's Legend Lime metallic, 5spd with the 3.55 gears out back.

Thanks for the welcome. Lorena is just south of Waco, so we're about 1 1/2hr away from DFW and Austin.

Eric,
Welcome! You have a neat project there. You might want to check out Jay Leno's 66 Gallaxy build video for ideas.

I'll be on a budget with the build for sure, doing everything I possibly can myself or with the help of friends. She's a pretty solid car, needs a trunk pan and a couple of small patches on the quarters. Under the vinyl roof I see some bubbles, hopefully nothing major. Thanks for the compliments!
