Hello all,
I'm Jeff Lee of HammerHead IRS. You may know me from Facebook or I may have met you in person. I'm a car guy, a web guy and I work for an automotive aftermarket ad agency as a digital marketing director. But on Pro-Touring.com so far I'm mainly just a lurker drooling at all the builds and planning my own for when I can afford it.
At HammerHead we make or are in the process of making independent rear suspension differentials (made in the USA of course) for popular modern American musclecars (Camaro/Challenger/Charger), sports cars (Corvette C2-C4/Viper GI/II), and custom hot rod or race car chassis builders. Our housing is cast in aluminum and is a bolt in replacement which uses GM 12 bolt gears and posi units (or soon 8.8" Ford). So with a HammerHead you have more choices for available gear ratios or posi/LSD's as well as greater strength and efficiency. We also sell with 1000HP CV axles and aluminum or carbon fiber driveshafts from The Driveshaft Shop. HammerHead is used in the Detroit Speed White Monster 2012 Camaro, in all current Street Shop Corvette Chassis', and in the upcoming "Whistling Death" 1967 Chevelle being built by Hot Rod Chassis and Cycle and G5R Camaro being built by Al and Nathan Moreno with help from Cris at JCG and Xtreme Innovations. We started this project to make a differential for Camaros and Corvettes for racing friends, but have been guided into the Viper and Hemi Chrysler LX markets/communities and have been embraced by the Pro Touring community and absolutely love it.
The reason I'm posting here today is that this company I started with my father is a finalist for the SEMA Young Executives Network Launchpad Contest. The winner of this contest gets some awesome stuff like: A full page ad in Hot Rod (or similar magazine), a booth at SEMA 2015, a booth at Hot Rod Power Tour 2015 (or similar event), marketing and logistics consulting from Kahn Media and UPS, and more. Total of $100K value and a great boost for a startup.
Launchpad is sort of like that TV show Shark Tank. The final 5 get to pitch their company on stage to some industry heavyweights at the SEMA Show. HammerHead has made it into the top 10 and the top 5 are chosen via Facebook voting. I had to submit a video and our video features me talking about our company, our product, and why Launchpad would help. We also have a cameo and testimonial from Kyle Tucker of Detroit Speed on why he uses HammerHead in the DSE White Monster 2012 Camaro.
So if you wouldn't mind, we would really appreciate if you checked out our video, gave us your vote and maybe shared with some friends. Thank you for your support!
