Oh man, if only it were closer. I'd make this the ferocious street machine I want and have more freedom to cut it up than I do with mine.

I have pics if anyone wants them emailed.. the guy does this for a living I guess and says he can find just about anything. This one seemed pretty decent and I know how hard it is to find fastbacks under $10k..

Post up email addys if you want the pics. I am pretty sure it will sell fast..

Dang.. looks like yellow fastbacks are all over the place here.. lol..

Here is a '68 fstbk for only $10k and it is just down the street from me. I can't tell you how tempting it was not to get a car like this instead of going the budget route.

'69-'70 fastbacks are still pretty reasonable, and you can usually find good drivers for $10k and under. Mach 1 go for mid teens on up, and well, we all know about the Bosses and Shelbys.

That '68 is an unusual deal though... and it won't last long at that price I suspect. Heck, Sanderson will probably buy it to make another GT500E. There's a guy who bought an unfinished, mechanically sound '68 Shelby clone with a rather plain 289 with an intake and headers for $14k, put $6k in it to finish it with paint, wheels and interior bits, and is currently selling on eBay... $25K is the current bid. Take that yellow '68, dump another $10K in it for bare basics for bodywork, Shelby bits, cheapy paint, wheels, and make it mechanically sound, and you've got a $25-$30K car I'd guess. All it's gotta do is have the Shelby bodywork, the right wheels, a decent stance and a decent paint job, and it's worth $20k easy.

It doesn't have to be the "budget route" if you flip your cars a couple of times more!:jump:

Nowadays it is hard to find them "little old lady" gems at a killer price. Plus there are a ton of "dealers" around here the are pretty fast at scooping up the good deals.

But, I am always keeping my eyes open.
