Anyone have a good suggestion or recommendation on thinwall sockets? The holes are a bit tight on my Boze wheels with 1/2" studs and 7/8" lugs... My sockets won't fit. The fronts are ok with 12mm studs and a 13/16 socket, but not a chance on the rears.
Thanks

I have a MAC set of plastic sleeved thin sockets so they wont mar the rims. Works great for my mb off road rims.

I seem to have this problem alot and all I do is grind the socket down with a wheel a little at a time and keep checking to see if it's skinny enough, only had one socket crack on me after all the years of doing it.

I think I got one once from Billet Specialties. They sell them for use on their wheels.

I use splined lugs on all our builds.

I'm all for grinding the socket down to make thinner. But like it was said before keep checking the clearance so u don't take off more than u need. I did this for my spark plug socket and it makes thing much easier.

We do also - nips any possible clearance problems in the bud.

I use splined lug nuts but have to ber very careful not to knick the wheels. Do any of you put a protective coating on spline drive lugnut sockets to prevent damage? If so what do you use? I was thinking some of that plasti dip stuff they sell at hardward stores to coat the end of pliers.

I have a source on a professional grade impact 3/4x13/16 and 19x21 THIN WALL flip socket, Ill get a solid price for anyone who wants them. I use them everyday and generally get around 1 too 3 yrs from one before splitting one side, I then cut off broken side and sell other end to a customer with custom wheels.
IF we can get several people together I can buy several and drop price on shipping if not get them for free. Again impact grade sockets in thin wall with zero warranty due too cost, can also get a short impact extension (3")to match them for breaker bar/torque wrench use. And these are NOT chrome.
