Well i finale thought id do a build thread after all this time.My dad bought the car in 1974 from the cone chevy dealer in fullerton ca.(i work a few miles from the now shut down dealership)with 1,800 bucks or so down and a trade in of a 69 dart.dad was the second owner a salesman there was the first.long story short pops got hurt while working at hughes aircraft in the 80's,was spending cash on fighting the co.with legal crap For getting hurt (2 f@#ked discs in his back)that he pretty much went broke.for 3 mos,My mom and dad and 2 older brothers and i lived in the chevelle while he waited to get back on his feet(i was 8yrs old i think, dont call me on the time line,i try blocking out the whole thing now as an adult)it was going to go to my oldest bro.when my older bro was in the 12grade in high school a lady ran a red light and hit him on the pass door it sat for a few yrs,we moved around etc. And when my middle bro. And i Bought a townhouse in corona...lived there awhile,we lost the place and the chevelle sat in a corona outdoor storage off the 91west for about 4yrs,my brother and i had the townhouse there in the late 90's.i was paying 100.00 a mo. To store it the for those 4yrs.Then i met this hot girl start seeing her, moved in with her and she told me i should take the car out of storage and keep it at her place, while i work on it and sleep with her,not in that order!(that hot girl is my wife now, going on 10yrs
Yrs in sept:)! All ground upwork done by me except the trans rebuild.
