Hey guys, I am wondering if anyone has shipped a non running project car before? I have a 68 camaro shell that is rolling but it is just a shell. I am looking to load the trunk and interior with all my parts and ship it to a builder. let me know what you guys think.
Thanks
Paul

Most transporters have a winch so that's not a problem. We've done that a lot. Just have to document all of the parts to make sure nobody steals them on the way ;)

Yup, document everything, pictures, etc. Preferably don't include anything of real value. We had shipped an Edsel to Australia one time that the buyer was bummed to find out the original hubcaps disappeared from the trunk while on the ship.

You may have to ship it enclosed due to the Parts. A Non-Runner can get shipped no problem, but Open Shippers don't like any car with Parts that can be visibly seen or stuffed in Trunks as they don't want to be responsible for theft

I have shipped 3 non-running cars, 2 of them were loaded without a winch, fortunately he got a winch between the pickup and delivery, so unloading was cake.

Just find a transporter with a good rep. The guy I used just contracts out, so it depends on the driver, this last driver was really good and texted me updates. The very first one called me at 4:30 am to let me know he would be dropping off at 5pm...

As far as teh parts, I would either put what you can in the trunk or ship the rest yourself if possible
