Hello,

When I had my 1969 Mustang Fastback, there was a company that offered a LED turn signal kit. The turn signal would eliminate the hardly visible 'red, brake light/turn signal' use and where the reverse lights were (below the bumper) would also be utilized as a turn signal (orange) in the rear.

I cant remember the name of the company, they would offer what I need, I assume.

What I need/want to buy is the same idea but for the 70 Chevelle I now own. I want to eliminate the red light flashing and where the reverse light is (in that little white rectangle bit) to have turn signal in orange as well as the white Reverse light, so 2 in 1 use... it would be an LED set up behind it to work...

Any help?

I would check with digi-tails. They could probably make something for you... www.digi-tails.com (http://www.digi-tails.com) They offer tails for a '70 Chevelle, just may not be what your looking for.

Thanks

I have emailed a few places + the ones given here. Most places say they do not offer that service, another place that has done it for the mustang doesn't seem to understand what the hell I am talking about. I just keep getting "you can use our bulbs if they are 1845 or 149" (or whatever the original part number style bulb is).

Like, I am not trying to stick a AMBER bulb in the reverse light socket but rather trying to make the reverse light socket house a reverse light and a Turn Signal.

I know it 'can' be made. Just need some chips, a circuit board, LED's and make it all work. It is just a question of who will 'want' to make it.

Anyway I will see what the 2 you guys have given say.

I assume the way to do it would simply to have white bulb LEDs in the middle with a border around them running Amber LEDs, thus ones are used as reverse light other as turn signal. It shouldn't be a complicated thing?

Now if there is a way to make single LED's work as 2 different colors... fine.

If I can get regular type bulbs like what modern cars use, I would use that. It does not have to be LED.

However I think with what I am trying to do, it will have to be LED to fit.

This is rough example of what I was thinking.
