Built 700R4, how much should i pay

I need a built 700R4. Anyone have any idea what a good price for this is? I see many 700R4s for sale, my next option would be to see how much a shop would charge to build one up to 700hp. Thanks

I think I payed about $2600.00 to have mine built.

What are you building it for? For autocross I would recommend a manual (my 700 is adequate but not ideal) and for drag racing my 700 is geared so first is worthless. I would say for an auto a 200 might be better. IMO

Car is a cruiser that may occasionally see the track. Engine is a 496 stroker, built with lots of torque. Normally I run a manual but this is for for my bel air and the column and everything is already setup for an auto so I thought I would leave it. Thanks for the replies.
