Will G8 6.0 (L76) complete motor with accesories.....

and it's 6L80e fit in my 71 Firebird? I know most people go with the accessory drive from an F body, but will the G8 stuff work without notching the frame? I assume the trans won't be an issue, but I'm here for advice.

I have a line on an a complete L76 w/ 6L80e from a G8 and want to swap it into my 71 Firebird. I just want to know if I'm ok with this combo other than motor mounts, fuel supply, exhaust, etc.

You'll need to swap the oil pan to an Fbody style or Holley. The Trans tunnel will probably need to be modified as the 6L is very big. Not 100% sure on the extent but it's a big trans.
The Fbody accessories I can't comment on either sorry.

The other option I was offered is an 06 GTO ls2 with 4l60e. This may be a better option as I shouldn't have to do any tunnel work, correct?

Correct. But you'll still need to swap the oil pan.

Thanks for the replies guys! Figures about the trans. When getting the GTO motor/trans, will those accessories work in an f body or will I still need to source the 98-02 stuff?
