My wife's '06 Mustang GT has LED interior lights that you can change the colors. Has anyone ever put this kind of setup in their build? Or, is there anyone that offers it? kind of neat idea. I have the 194 bulbs in my Autometer gauges. Right now the way I plan on changing the color is by buying individual colored bulbs. Kind of a pain when you want to change colors though.

Another question is, does anyone have a good lead on where to buy the amber/white "switchback" led bulbs? I looked at Amazon and others but they say the white is on, and when the blinker comes on the white stays on and the amber blinks. Most reviews say that you can hardly see the amber because the white is so bright. I would want the ones that actually alternate, or the white goes off until the blinker is cancelled.
Any ideas are welcomed..

Thanks,
Carl

I put LED's in the dome light and the under dash light. I don't know if they are brighter (they are pretty bright), but thing I like is that they don't generate heat like the original type. My old dome light holder (in the roof) had distorted with the heat from the old bulb. I have replaced almost every bulb in the car with LEDs (marker, digitail rear, reverse lights, and the interior ones). I am considering getting the headlights like the truck lite ones. I did have some issues with using LEDs in the front turn signals even when using the correct flashers. Put the old style amber ones in and everything works fine. I have had pretty good luck with ebay LED bulbs.

oznium has a wide selection of leds with controllers (for rgb leds) I'd check them out first. There are other options out there as well some will require a bit of coding some are plug and play.
here is a controller:

Thanks everyone.. I still haven't found what I'm looking for though. I am replacing all my bulbs to led's as well. Still need to find a 194 bulb and controller that will do the RGB. don't know if it even exists..

Check out the "love 69" build thread by Vette427-sbc; he used the switchback LEDs. I ordered mine from the same source, but still wiring the car, so I can't report on how well mine have worked yet.

Aimed at the rice rocket community, but it sounds like what you are looking for. I'm considering doing the same thing.

These use the led tubes. I'm still looking for the 194 bulb, in RGB led. They have to fit into my Autometer gauges. Like I said before, I might be looking for something that doesn't exist.

Could you not go to a junk yard and cut whatever it is you want out of a mustang?

I probably could, but my problem is I'm trying to do this in my Autometer gauges. They use the 194 bulbs. I would think that the Mustang gauges may be a circuit board, although I don't know that for sure. Funny thing is, my wife won't let me take hers apart to see. (imagine that)
