I had two (L/R) plastic brake duct cooling pieces from a C5 Corvette and decided to add to the front spoiler on my 69. I always thought the front spoiler was a little mundane so I decided to add a custom upgrade. I had some 3/8" flat stock aluminum laying around so I designed a pattern that mirrors the design of my rear billet tail lights frames. Not sure how much air it will force into the brake area but certainly more than it gets now! At least now the Corvette brake ducts won't be laying around taking up space!

I think it looks awesome... My taste would be more subtle making them black instead of silver

I like it because it is functional! But im more of a subdued look kinda guy so id like the shrouds better in black, Great job!

I was planning on doing the same with mine, but said screw it and tossed the c5 ducts in the trash last week.
Wish I didn't now, looks great, except agreeing with satin or textured black.

I made a pattern then used my band saw to cut the outside pattern Then I drilled holes in the corners of the two openings large enough to start cutting with my Jigsaw. Lots of filing to round the edges then polished.

I agree with you, but wow OP that looks awesome. I may do something similar to my Mach 1 someday
