Hello. My name is Mitch, I have a 1966 Rambler American that my Grandpa gave me 20 years ago (my Great Grandpa bought new). In school we repainted it and had troubles getting it to run correctly, the family wanted it kept original, I didn't, so I lost interest and it was pushed to the side and forgotten. All that work know is a right off and we are starting from scratch, with the family realizing no one else is interested in the Rambler I finally get to build it the way I want. I am a husband, a father of 3 beautiful little girls, and work a full time job a long with some small side jobs, so not a lot of time or money at the same time. My plans are to build it on a very tight budget...so far I have a GM 350 create engine with low miles (bought the truck and junked it and have a free engine), a 200R4 transmission my cousin gave me (good when he pulled it??), and a 8.8 Ranger rear end with 3.73 limited slip. I want to end up with 17x7in wheels front and 18x10in wheels rear, I would like to 3 or 4 link the rear end but in the past have already bought new leaf springs so I'm considering relocating the springs for the time being, again budget... I will try to get a build thread started soon. I have been reading on here for a while, learned a lot, and it looks like a great community. Thank you for all for letting me be a part and hope I can contribute as well.
