I just added MAV TV channel to my Time Warner Cable subscription for $6.95 per month.
You'll need MAV TV if you want to watch the Ultimate Street Car Challenge Series which starts airing episodes this Friday night.
$6.95 per month...that's less than 1 hamburger... Why wouldn't you add it as well if you don't have it already?

I wish I could add it. Comcast out here in the Portland, OR area doesn't carry it. :(

It's a great channel. Gearz and lots other shows have moved over to MavTV as well as all the Lucas Oil (tractor pull, Drag Boats, etc.) Lucas Oil owns this TV channel.

I can't stand to watch it. I don't know why since so many of my other channels are beautiful HD with my Directv service, but MAV TV views with the quality of an 80's VHS camcorder. I'm just glad that Gearz is going to be on Velocity too!

My only complaint with them is that there's no HD with DirecTV. Gearz used to be HD on Spike so you could see all the awesome work he does.

I totally agree. I watch MAV-TV a lot for the Lucas Oil Dirt Late Model Series and Pirelli World Challenge race replays and plan to watch all of the USCA events, but it's frustrating to watch because the quality is so poor. I feel like my cell phone shoots better video.
Forrest Lucas has plenty of money so I wish they would get with the times. We've all become spoiled but grainy video is better than no video I guess.

Verizon Fios offers it in HD. well, at least it's listed as an HD channel. IDK if I can justify $9.99 a month for the package. There's a bunch of programming, but MAVtv is the only channel I really have interest in. I don't need 60 +/-versions of almost identical hunting & fishing shows...

I wish you could just stream it or download it directly from the site and bypass the cable providers. That is what I have done with Gearz. Of course right after I paid the $30 for the annual fee to do that they announced they were going to Velocity. :)

Sounds like the beef should be with DTV, not MAV TV correct?
Now I'm not always the biggest fan of Time Warner, but MAV TV is in HD on their service. I haven't watched any of it yet though to see if the individual shows on that channel are filmed and shown in HD or not.

Possibly, but the rest of the lineup isn't really that worth the effort of me trying to call up Dtv to get it to change, Gearz is the only one I was concerned with. Besides, dealing with Dtv service sucks! Luckily I rarely have had issues with them....
