I have been invited to the Optima Street Car Invitational

This past weekend, with the support of many friends I was LUCKY enough to have been asked to attend the Optima Street Car Invitational

I was given the award because they said I have the "Spirit of the Event". I never thought of my participation in USCA that way. I ask people if they need help, because of the high stress the race environment puts on the competitors; if I can help for one second, or get a water, talk about the last run, or help with car tuning, allowing someone to take a deep breath for just those few moments and look around and soak in the surroundings, maybe that will make a that person's day a little better (if that's possible while at a USCA event), what we're doing is really, REALLY cool....

I have always joked that my little home built and painted car would never be in the BIG SHOW..and now here we go! So I have 109 days till the Optima Invitational

What you said above is so true, there is SO much activity packed into one of these weekends for a participant, it can be overwhelming at times for the participants. Where you really stood out though was even when you were participating in the actual event yourself and experiencing the overwhelmingness of the event personally, you still stepped up and offered to help others along the way. Nice Job!!

I hope all of you are watching MAV TV for the optima show! if you dont have it (MAV TV) go to friends that has it or a restaurant or bar, its every Friday night!...please watch we have put a lot of blood sweat and Joy into the racing events lets make this float!! so we can support the Optma format of racing for next few years......its awesome that Optima has thrown down the money to expand the series...but it wont happen again without TV ratings, and if that happens the Optima event will become small again and out for reach for most of us

I sent out an email to all of my friends and family with the broadcast schedule and a plea for them to watch...or at least set their DVRs to record as that counts in ratings as well. If the actual event episodes are done as well as the intro episode, it shouldn't take any pleading to get them to come back and watch it again and again.

Thats awesome Lance....you have been there and seen this format for our pro tour cars, is killer! for those asking about sponsorship...well.. here it is come out and play let the biggest sponsors see you run, DSE, Optima, RideTech, Baer Brakes, Wilwood, Royal Purple, BFG, Lingenfelter, Advance auto Parts, Lucas, THERE ALL AT THE EVENT!! and looking for talent, and Hell you could even be on TV....there filming every event!!! there filming everyone!! no stupid closed sets and crap, you are in the thick of it
