I am building a 70 Chevelle and have a set of wheels on order but have not been hooped yet, I need some assurance on a couple of things. I have looked over tons of threads but the info is a bit sketchy.
I want to of course run widest rear wheel possible, I know a 20x10 will fit with no problem with a 295, I would like to run a 305 if possible and if so what width wheel 10.5 11? and backspace?
I need help with someone who has built this set up on one, I know there are many out there but the backspacing and actual wheel size are not always listed.
On the front I need suggestions on what would be recommended for a 19, my wheel guy is recommending 19x8 with a 245, seems a bit dainty for big body Chevelle, a 255 or even 275 seems to be a better looking choice, if so, again what backspace would be ideal to center it in the wheelhouse?
It has stock width rear, stock width front setup, will be lowered of course (static drop SPC springs, SPC arms, Hellwig front and rear bars, Currie arms upper and lower on rear, Baer t4 front, ss4 rear etc..)
Anyone that has some past experience with this car proper wheel setup help!
