We have 2 project cars in the shop right now and we are looking for ideas for side mirrors.
1967 GTO will have one mirror on the driver side. We want to be able to paint this one to match as there is absolutely no chrome on this car.
1968 Camaro will have both mirrors. We are actually less worried about this one as we think we may go with new Camaro mirrors and modify them, but still would love to see other options.
Thanks!

I'm kind of partial to the stock 67 GTO mirrors myself. Why no chrome or trim? The 67 GTO had some of the nicest rocker mouldings, and trim to come out of GM I've always thought.
I use Ford Cobra mirrors

Thanks guys...we are really trying to stay away from chrome with these cars. I didn't see any paint to match mirrors so far.
I will try to post some pictures of the GTO later and you will see what I mean about no chrome.

Here are some pictures of the '67 GTO as of today, still fitting the front end components, so they aren't completely lined up.

Finding mirrors is tough. I hated all the options for my '71 GMC, so I never put any on it. But now that it is 'caged with a race seat and a 6-point harness, mirrors are needed to see everything behind while driving. They are also 1000% necessary on track days.
I too, like the cobra mirror like used on Rod's wicked '68, but I opted for some roll cage mirrors and designed and fab'd the arms. Still have to do the finish work, but that is after I test 'em on a track day this Sunday.

How about some powder coated factory mirrors?

no real contribution here about the mirrors, but.... that car looks OUTSTANDING! i love the painted bumpers. the color sets everything off great and i love how the wheels are still polished aluminum. really gives it a nice punch.

I think 2nd gen TA mirrors would look pretty good on there, if they fit.. We put them on a 71 Cutlass we built a few years ago, looked nice.

I have Vision Concepts VF4 LED on mine.
Love the GTO, great looking build. These VF4's might be a bit to "round" but the Indy's would look alright.
