I am debating getting a TIG welder, I asked about the Miller Diversion 180. Ahmad B suggested looking into the Thermal Arc 186. Curious if anyone else has experience with it?
Thanks

I've had one for 6 months or so and I love it. I had an Eastwood tig 200 but I was soon yearning for more advanced features. I bought a smaller torch since the included torch is pretty large. At first, the extra features took a little time to figure out, but with plenty of practice I've been learning to make the most of them. Here is the torch I ended up getting along with a gas lens separately:http://www.ebay.com/itm/12-WP9-Tig-Welding-Torch-Compatible-Thermal-Arc-185-186-Made-in-USA-CK9-/171053918380?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27d39ba8ac. The 9 series torch works well for smaller stuff then I bump up to the included torch for thick material. The only downside to the machine is the fan is super loud, but the machine definitely stays cool.
