What does everyone think about their products? I'm looking to redo my entire suspension and his products look good. I'm just a little on the fence about purchasing from one of the little guys and not a big player (dse, ride tech etc)

I have the Gen II on my 79 and it's not bad for a leaf spring car with the original size 15" wheels/tires on it. When I swap my 17's on the car it becomes way too stiff. The ride is horrible over anything except the expressway. Depends on what you're looking for. I don't think you can get leaf springs to ever perform like a coil over.

My experience with PTFB dates back to 2009. Over the years, I've driven and worked on 4 different cars equipped with Gen II Racing Products (Pro-Touring F-Body). I've also gotten to know the owner (Dave) personally in this time because I'm actually local to the shop. Dave has an excellent handle on the F-Body platform and possesses a great amount of overall knowledge and experience working on performance/race cars.
Recently, I tried switching to Hotchkis because they were a "big name" brand. I have, however, quickly switched back to using Pro-Touring F-Body because the parts are just plain better after experience. PTFB may not have the prettiest sticker or website out there but Dave's parts are great. This year I have been fortunate enough to pull the trigger on modifying my whole subframe with the best of what PTFB has to offer. We're doing coil-over's, tubular control arms, adjustable sway bars, etc. I will surely post on this thread to let you guys know how my latest experience goes.
Travis Hartwell's '78 Trans Am that is sponsored by PTFB has recently been proving to be one of the fastest autocross cars out today. His car is street driven with 100% bolt-on (no welding) PTFB suspension. John Paige (NOT A TA) has recently been sponsored by PTFB and is putting together a real nice build on many of the forums. His '70 Firebird (The 14 car) has been getting some serious aerodynamic development and will be a great car to see hit the track soon. PTFB parts have been on a few magazine and television displayed cars.
Sorry to revive an old post here but I randomly found this through a search.

I have talked to a couple guys here that had to wait months and months on end to get parts shipped from PTFB. I don't know about you guys in the US but here overseas it takes a long while with him. Based on personal experience I always recommend Keith and Customworks Performance if you wanna buy from the "little guys". As for PTFB products he seem to make good stuff.

I don't dispute wait times for previous customers but there's a big difference between PTFB and Custom Works. PTFB has better designs in my opinion. Stonger subframe connectors, better body mounts, better brakes, etc.
I wouldn't recommend Keith after learning about Customworks through various sources. I was about to become a customer there last year but glad I didn't after learning more about the business. As far as I know, some of Keith's suppliers have dropped him as dealer for various reasons over the years....PTFB included. Keith's has gathered up a group of customers so I'm sure there's something there for others...not for me though.

Might be some difference but I wouldn't nitpick like that as I pick parts here and there to my own preference. When it comes down to it, after payment I expect a vendor to ship parts, or let me know how long it's gonna take. And stick to that. Keith has been super great on that part. He might have been dropped by some suppliers, or dropped them, but in three or so years I see he has had pretty much the same offerings.
But hey I am used to dealing with demanding boat customers all day so I tend to expect the same from the ones I buy from as our customers demand from me. If you ask me you're never really safe buying aftermarket stuff, no matter how big the vendor is so it's all just about personal experiences.
