50 to 150ft range, not going to help you find your car unless you lost track of it in your garage. I'm thinking more along the lines of LoJack. anyone done this? http://www.lojackforclassics.com/

I have been curious. Has anyone ever seen a LoJack coverage map?

Viper Smart start GPS is $100 per year and gives you GPS tracking from your phone.

Get a $40 active GPS/ GSM car tracker and pop a prepay sim in it. Can be set up to automatically text you and/ or cut the fuel pump if car moves a set distance. You can also track it on google maps.

I just checked on the GPS trackers. Passive is unit where you can download information. Active GPS is where it gives you minute by minute where your car is. Units vary but it costs $19.99 month for the service. Viper with tilt, movement, interior distrubance, is about $300 installed. Glass breakage and siren and glass breakage is more Thats $50 more than crunchfield and you install it. The GPS system is $300 foe unit and $200 for a 3 year contract. $ 100 for 1 year. Im looking at $1000.

You could get one from aliexpress for $40 or so. Or hardwire a cheap burner cell phone and set it to answer when called and send you its gps data. Several cheap ways to approach it.

For the Classic cars, they realize that the Classic car owner is a bit different, and may want to have more input to the installation.
They also will install it at your location in most cases, and the installers are car-guys too, they do not want to damage anything on your car(s).

Here is a coverage list of counties per state:

LoJack also has a GPS add-on option available.
