Does anyone know if there is someone that can take existing aluminum or stainless trim and restore it? (taking out dents, straightening, or re anodizing ) Looking at restoring mine on my '68 as opposed to buying new.
Thanks,

Carl,

I have used Dennis Barnett who is here in central Indiana. His work is nothing short of amazing. Pricey, but amazing.

I have used the following:

Sessum's Polishing 817 426-0939. Richard is old school and doesn't do email or have a website. Very talented though. He did all the trim for my 57 Belair and that was a lot of trim.

Pat and Bob's Polishing 817 281-9003. [email protected]. Nice retired couple working out of their home. They do a great job.

Restoring will cost more than repop trim but it fits properly and isn't flimsy. I always restore before I resort to repop.

Make sure you're sitting down when you get the estimate. They do great work.

Yep, repop is much cheaper, but I've used both and was nothing but disappointed with the repop stuff. Actually have one piece of windshield trim that is repop and it has dents from bugs hitting it (high rate of speed of course).

Thanks, the shop will be amazing when it's done, but for now it is just moving way too slow!
