Looking for cheap/fun car for girlfriend to learn stick OR an manual SUV 4-10k

Looking for two kinds of vehicles:

A cheap, fun car for the girlfriend to learn how to row the gears

OR

A smaller SUV, like Saturn Vue, or Tahoe

Looking to spend 7k or under for the car, up to 10k for the right SUV.

What do ya'll got???

Mustang Mach 1/similar
