Kudos to Adam for his work, responsiveness and creativity. Also to Larry Callahan for helping out.

I had to remove my door arm rests when my rollbar was made due to interference with the side bars and it looked lousy with screw holes.

I spoke with Adam and we designed these aluminum plates to cover the area. Milling a one-off piece is a real character builder, too, and Larry pitched in.

Enjoy:

Lookin great Rick! Nice work Adam! :icon996:

Rick did you get your power steering problem resolved yet?

Yes. What a character builder. Kyle redesigned his -6 adapter for the 600 box. The short version is that I cured the leaks at the box with the new DSE fitting. Then I had some seepage at the hose fitting which was resolved by a new -6 Aeroquip hose fitting. If both parts weren't new I would get a seep.

I may be able to drive to Carlisle next year! Of course, that's if my 412 build goes OK this winter :)

cool idea, it might even look good painted black to match the doorpanel.

Why didn't you just bend the side bars around the armrests? Here is a photo of the rollbar in my last '69, it kept the stock armrests. The seats in there are wider than the factory 69 seats. http://www.ls1tech.com/69Camaro/caged2.jpg

got any pics of the entire car with the rollbar?

I didn't realize the interference I would have with this S&W kit.

Anyway, I like this 'machined' look since my car is my street point and shoot therapy program in the Street fighter mode (thanks to Streetfytr68). I want to keep the look so I may have them anodized for some colorization.

Here's some car pics:

Thanks for the props Rick and thanks for the compliments everyone. I made a page for Ricks arm rest covers on my site here. http://www.adfabdesign.com/Projects/Arm%20Rest%20Cover/ArmRest.html
I made 2 different designs but we liked that one the best. Sides match the panely lines and the grooves do too. After his car show we will post more pics of the arm rest cover.
