UPS delivered my new Boze Lateral G's last night 18x10.5 and 17x7 for my '66 Mustang Coupe. Still need to get the other two out of the box but after dealing with Zak I am sure they are perfect. I definitely want 315's on the back and the options are pretty slim. Looks like 315 x30 is what I will have to settle for but would rather have a little more meat with a 35 or 40. So my choices are either Toyo Proxes R888 or BF Goodrich Rivals. As far as tread pattern, I like the R888's, the car will be idle for a long time before it ever hits the streets. Thoughts welcome!

If it's going to sit for a long time, what's the rush? Tires get hard over time. I'd save your money and find some cheap used 315's and wait until you're closer to getting the project on the road before you purchase tires.

I would buy tires after the car is running and right before you are ready to hit the streets. If it will be a while, new tires might be available by then.

Since we are setting up the suspension for the first time I decided to go with new tires that will be the exact size I want.
Also I am on a time line to get the Currie ordered so shopping for used tires probably won't work.

I use Nitto NT01 315/30/18's on my 69 camaro - granted it is not used for every day use, mainly cruising and occasional autocross - but they have awesome grip and definitely help getting the power down (670hp 489 BBC) - but would be curious to how Rivals would compare
