This 1971 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible is what I would call a garage find. A friend of mine inherited this car from her father who owned it since the mid seventies. He repainted it in the 1990's and redid the soft top (both still in great condition). It also has the factory, color matched hard top. He rebuilt the engine and went through the mechanicals before handing the car down. After thoroughly going through the car it mostly sat under a cover in a garage. In fact, it was not driven regularly since 2004. The tires still had the nubs on the tread!
This was originally a green car, but the current paint has a bit of metal flake, so it shines! The paint is in good condition. The interior is factory dark green.
This is a nice driver. It runs as an original car should. I took it for a 140 mile road trip the day I bought it! I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere.
The car has 97k miles.
It has the stock 350 V-8 with the TH400 automatic transmission.
The soft top is in great condition, and it has the nice factory hard top as well.
The car is largely stock. What a time capsule!
The only reason I am selling it is due to an overabundance of cars. I'm in no hurry or pressure to sell. I enjoy the car a lot. However, I could use some space.
This thing is very stock, so enjoy it as is, or make it a corner carving, LS engine swapped beast... The temptation is to much for me...
I'm asking $20,000. PRICE LOWERED
It is appraised at $23-26k
Feel free to shoot me an offer, I see these go for a wide range of $.
I would consider partial trades, but would prefer cash.
I would also be interested in taking a Kwik Lift in trade.
I took some better pics today. A mix of in the shade and direct sunlight.
