It seems most of the forged wheel companies go with a very european looking wheel design. Im not against it and I think it looks great on some cars but its just not really my thing. I was wondering why none of the forged wheel companies have tried to put out a 5 spoke mag looking wheel? Ive seen plenty of 5 spoke wheels but none of them are reminiscent of a Mag G or a TTII. Most of the cast wheels are pretty heavy but the look is timeless. Just wondering I guess.....

I think if you look around hard enough you will find some high end forged wheels in the styles you are seeking.
On the other hand, why would someone want to pay $4K for a set of good forged wheels only to look like a set of $150 cast wheel?

We can make a retro style wheel if the market wants it. For us, like any manufacturer, we have an investment in design, engineering, tooling, testing and then marketing.
I'm a big fan of the retro, vintage style race wheels from the 60's and early 70's on the Trans Am cars and Can-Am cars. One styling issue that doesn't always work is turning a 15" wheel design into a 18" + diameter. I love 15" GM rally wheels, but I don't care for them in 18" or bigger, for me they just lose the appeal.
We look to you guys for input on what you want. What I like doesn't mean the end consumer always cares for it, so I do appreciate the feedback.
I went to a local car show here in Livonia yesterday and took some pics of this 69'. Stunning restoration with I believe the correct rally wheels.

I think there is a big market for period correct wheels in larger sizes with custom backspacing/offsets. I know YearOne makes them, but you're stuck with 4.5 BS in a 8" wheel and 5" BS in a 9" wheel. If I could get a set of 17" or 18" Pontiac Rally II wheels with the correct backspacing I would be all over them.

hope I'm not hi-jacking here, but anyone know who makes a 'nascar' styled 18" wheel?
Thanks.

Since this thread was talking about retro styles here are two we manufacture.
Both shown with optional powder coat, they are available in 17" - 20" sizes and
always custom machined from solid billet forgings to your selected backspace.

I'm a fan of the mini lite as well. It looks good in 18". How about a 3-piece, cast magnesium center with exposed ARP, stainless bolts for a newer/modern look?

I love my CCWs but after seeing those RaceLites I think a second set of wheels may be in the cards.
