I have the AAW classic update harness in my 67 Camaro. I also have a LS6 and GTO T56 in my car. Are you running a neutral safety switch? If so where at? I figure the best place is on the clutch pedal but thought I would ask. I can bypass this for now to hear the engine run, but wanted to see what's out there. I briefly looked over the T56 and didn't see a switch on the tranny but not sure.
Thanks,

Im in the process of laying out my wiring for my car, I have a hydro clutch so I put a inline brake light switch and it will act like a nss when the pedal is pressed.

I used a neutral safety switch that is used on 69 camaros for my 67. Works like a charm. This way you have to push in the clutch to start the car. My TKO 600 has a switch built into it but the car needs to be in neutral to start. Might be just me but I like the idea of having the car in first and pushing in the clutch to start. BTW, I also have the AAW classic update kit.

Hide an on/off switch under the dash somewhere and wire it through that... its a good the theft preventative. It can also help when starting with a carb car if you are on an incline with a sub par emergency brake, not that I know anything about that or anything. Don't accidentally start it in gear though.

If you decide to go with the actual clutch switch like it seems you implied, you could still wire a switch in line if you ever feel "concerned" or leave on vacation or something, lol. It may sound dumb, but I've read some horror stories where something so simple would have saved a car theft. Imagine hot wiring a car and no matter what you do you can't turn it over, DOH! Haha.
