Getting ready to change out my factory frame shackle bushing and dse springs on my 69 camaro. Do you have any tips or tricks to getting the old bushing out and installing the new ones in the frame and spring? If it matters, I will be using the global west delalum. Thanks in advance!

Not sure if the first gen Camaro's are like the second gens. Second gen the shackles have a rubber piece from either side soemtimes swollen into the frame but will twist out. Front is a pressed in rubber with outer steel sleeve. Sa Dale said torch or cut out(air chisel) the rubber part then you can collapse down the outer steel sleeve. Or sometimes you can slightly pry open the front spring eye to let it push out a little easier

For anyone in the future looking to do this. A short piece of conduit or heavy gauge pipe, a handful of different size washers, and some 1/2" threaded rod will allow you to make your own puller. It was actually quite easy, even with original bushings stuck in there.
