how long does it take to break in a new clutch/flywheel. The reason why im asking is mine seems to have very little grab so far with my centerforce clutch. I was carfull to wipe all the oil from the fly wheel with brake clean prior to instalation. If i let the clutch out at any rpm over 2000 it will slip. Is this normal? Ive only driven the car about a quarter mile so far. how should drive the car to get the clutch broken in properly. I want to be able to do this :3gears:

No this is not normal at all! Sounds like its not adjusted properly. Can you give us all of your specs like tranny, clutch, flywheel......?.

It sounds like it is not engaging all the way when you let the pedal up. When you push on the clutch pedal there should not be any direct pressure on it meaning it should have a little play. You can also look under the car where the ball meets the clutch fork and it should have a little play with the clutch pedal up all the way.

Its better to have too much play then none at all. None at all means the clutch is not engaging 100% and will fry very very fast if you have a higher HP engine. Very easy to adjust. Just a big wrench and a little wrench is all you need. I dont know sizes. Mabey a 9/16 but the other one is very tiny if I remember correctly. Its been over a year since I swapped to hydrolic clutch from manual.
