How many had long memorial day trips?
I went back home to Northeast ND from the Detroit metro. Round trip ended up being 2,200 miles to pick up my project Jeep. I learned real quick that I might be flying more often as 16 hours of towing in one day should probably have a co-driver.

Dude i woulda helped drive, sounds like it could have been a fun trip. I kinda miss long hauls. My dad went from here in Milwaukee to Detroit to silver spring Massachusetts and got back today.

All the way to Massachusetts, now that is a long trip. Yeah I was also surprised that my Trailblazer SS got an average of 12.5 mpg roughly overall towing at 70-80 mph. Considering empty I get 14.5-15.5 mpg, and it is stock.

I drove from VA to KS for my neice's wedding in Lawrence then on west to central KS for a family get together then back to a friends shop to drop off the engine out of Dust Off to have him rebuild. Total distance 2,885 driving my 07 Silverado 2500HD Duramax. For the entire trip I got 21.3 mpg with the cruse control set on 65 and not towing a trailer. I personally would much rather drive than put up with the airlines crap.

I agree I would rather drive. Hopefully you had some company on that long of a drive. I wish I was taking it in a sports car someday instead of the Trailblazer SS, but the nice thing with your Duramax is you weren't filling up near as much as me.

Everything I hear, you must live on the road, and there is nothing wrong with that. I would love to get to travel more for pleasure/work. Being fresh out of school, I didn't get much vacation at the first job.

Is your 07 the classic or not? Do you have a tuner or anything? Thats killer mileage.
