My son and I are building his 68 nova together and tonight I put it in gear and it didn't move . I'm not sure if I have hooked up the brake switch wrong or what . Can anyone help me with ideas on what to look for ? Thanks

Where is the trans fluid level on the dipstick?

The torque converter bolts are in, correct? I have actually forgotten this when I was interrupted on an engine pull.
It's also pretty common to lose quite a bit of fluid on the pull. Like alocker asked-What's the level on the dipstick?
Last but not least, was this a running engine and trans that you pulled? Is there any chance the person who pulled it also drained the trans pan and took the filter out without replacing it? I bought a combo like that once.
BTW- Depending on the wiring harness you're using, the brake switch will only prevent you from putting the car in any other gear than park without pressing the brake.
