Anyone ever buy a set of their wheels? I was looking for some 18 inch wheels to fit my new brakes and at 150 a wheel it seems like a bargain

I used them. I've had the wheels on the car now for 6 months - no complaints yet.
I wanted something for a pro-touring look similar to a Forgeline or Boze, but didn't have the budget for it.
I found these: http://www.oewheelsllc.com/Wheels_3/Wheels-for-Pontiac/Corvette-C6-Z06-Wheels-Gunmetal_3#.U336KLBOWpo
I had to use spacers to get the proper backspace, also the car is mini-tubbed.

I was going to order them and then get the rears widened to 10.5 I mean for the price it's hard to beat them I can get all 4 for the price of one torque thrust and it gives it that nice pro touring look. Just a little skeptical of running adapters and auto crossing

Also the car I'm looking for them are for a 1971 Camaro I saw they have a 19x10 zr1 wheel so I might go with that one so I keep their lifetime warranty

I used these guys for spacers: http://www.motorsport-tech.com/.
I know a lot of people don't like the idea of running spacers, but if everything is hub centric and lug centric, and it's all torqued properly - why would it fail auto-crossing, drag racing or otherwise?
I got all my suspension for Mark at SC&C. Give him a call and he'll talk to you about spacers and adapters. He said they've had customers using them for years with no issues.

I wouldent buy Chrome rims from them...
This is the 3rd summer on a set of chrome rims from oewheels , ONLY USED in the summer on the wifes lexus. Chrome is pitting badly like its allergic to the aluminum... No good.
The quality is not the best, the chrome is NOWHERE near as deep ,shiny, consistent compared to quality wheels : OEM, Weld , Centerline and many others . I can see rough sanding marks through the chrome from not being prepped good enough, the chrome is inconsistent from the sides of the spokes to the front of the spokes....
I guess they could survive "if" you cleaned them EVERYDAY ???
And i Deff would Not use a cast chinese rim in Autocross , Roadcorse , Drag or any serious performance application , but thats just me and My Concern for My Life.
Just my first hand experience speaking.

Beebe, I'm curious as to your first hand experience with cast wheels. Did they crack or break off the hubs? I'd like to see pics if you have them. I def don't want to have a safety issue auto-crossing.
I've seen pics of spacers failing but they were cheap cast stuff, not billet aluminum with hub centric rings machined into them. I've also seen lugs broken off from improper tightening of lug nuts.
And I can see the chrome quality of the OE wheels not being up to par - I went with the powder-coated gunmetal and I believe the one's 71maroesteban is interested in is black powder-coated.

Beebe I'd understand the chrome finish wouldn't be any where as good buy I'm going with a black powder coat also they are DOT approved along with some other approved one and they offer lifetime structural warranty with the wheels. I'd be skeptical but they are also accredited with the better business breau, I certainly don't want to have unsafe wheels but I haven't ever seen one broken and billet adapters when properly torqued to spec should be safe

I was wondering the same... What size tire on front and back? and What size wheels on front and back? What thickness spacers did you use? Do you rub on the frame?
I've got some Z06 wheels just like this that my buddy wants to sell me cheap if I can make them fit the front.

I run a cast wheel on my car, MB Old School, same as a Coys I think. 17x9.5. I got them from Discount Tire for $150 each. At that price I doubt they were made in America. I beat the crap out of my car on a daily basis as there's a few great turns and 3 round abouts I pass through on the way to and from work everyday. I've also got a few very hard autocross events on them. Been on the car for over 3 years now, have scraped a few curbs and run through some gnarly pot holes. No issues whatsoever. I know they aren't OE brand, but there are some great Chinese mfg'd products and there are some really junky ones. Think of it this way, OE makes wheels for Corvettes, Camaros, Mustangs, etc, and those cars often get beat on. As far as the standards wheels need to be at I'd say a decent cast Chinese wheel is likely ok to beat on.
