is this drive shaft too short?

Measuring it, it is about half an inch shorter than I thought it would be. Is it too short to use, should I take it back and complain?

Slip portion of the front yoke into trans is 4.375" long

Dennys drive shaft says 3/4" to 1" with the rear axle supported at ride height.
