a bubby of mine has a zo6 block and he said i can have it but the only thing wrong with it is that it crack where the starter goes can it be fix

just bring it out to a machine shop and have them tig weld and remachine the hole. I had my machinist fix a Nissan block in this way.
Make sure he checks the crack real well, it might go into a crutial part of the block.
