Just bought a project car. My first project, thought I was getting a great deal. Drove a brisk 30 hour drive, pick it up, the engine wasn't what was promised, the frame on the car was just inspected and is completely screwed in the front. Need to get a descent price on a frame, if already powder coated even better. But I hope someone can help me out with this. Now with 700 in gas and registration, and having to buy a new engine, I'm already starting to think my dream is dead and I'm out a couple grand in the process. I'm located in Northern California, if anyone can help me out even with some advice it would be much appreciated.

How bad is the frame? A competent body shop should be able to put the frame on a frame rack and straighten it out.

PM Tom Farrington on here. His username is tommycomfort.
They have a whole herd of Chevelle parts.

The wheel base is off in the front, it is torqued inward and not level. The body shop said they could do it, but it would be in the 5000 range, he said if I could get neither frame, even if it was wrecked in the rear he could cut it up and weld it together, and reinforce it and it would be a lot less. Now with having to buy a new engine as well, I can't afford 5k on frame repair. And thanks Randy, I will do that.

For that kind of money you might as well get a custom frame from Schwartz...LOL

Yea, I wish I had that kind of money to sink into it.
