I have been trying to get a pump to carb line for my '70 and they can't get it right. The first line they send me had the tube go towards the pass side and down. Puts it directly in the way of the alternator. The OEM line goes through the water pump. They sent me a second line claiming they knew what the problem was and I got the same exact line again!!

So why not send them your original and let them make you one to match?

1. I shouldnt have to. They offer OEM lines bent to OEM spec
2. The line is tweaked and bent, if the line was a perfect candidate to match, I wouldnt need a new line

I don't know anyone there personally, but I live a few miles from the shop and have felt with them on numerous occasions. If there is anything I can do to help just let me know.

Time to make one. Far less aggravation based on my experience.

I would if it wasnt quirky with a 5/16" line welded om a 3/8"

I'm pretty sure that brass elbow is not suppose to be on the carb. Iirc the line just has a 90* bend going straight into the carb fitting. I wouldn't be doing all the screwing around with having one made, I would just bend a 5/16 or 3/8 line and be done with it.
