I have just finished this column, it is an original 69 tilt for Camaro or firebird, it has the correct ign switch cover with the squared off ends where it says "lock" , has the correct bolt in steering shaft, also has been rebuilt with all gm parts, ign switch, turn signal switch and all original parts to the column, only aftermarket parts are the levers which are on the way, I ordered levers last week and they sent me 67 ones instead, so now they are sending the right ones, I just cleaned up these for pictures only, the flasher knob is new, but the tilt and turn levers are used and wont be on the column when purchased, it will come with a new set. if you have done a pure nut and bolt resto on a numbers matching car this is the tilt for you, these parts don't come around very often, they only made a few original tilts for these cars and they are very very hard to find, there is one original rebuilt tilt on fleabay for 895.00 , I am asking 750.00 shipped for this one, I can be reached at 850-382-7125 anytime, Jim

I have about 25 pictures of the build on this column for those of you who document the whole build on a car, also here are the part numbers for the critical parts on the column,,

shift bowl 7809257
column base tube A2479S
tilt housing 780417
ign switch housing 176
ign switch cover 7805273
coupler 7806998

this is the only column I have for this price, all my others are still the same price, thanks, Jim

Don't want to hijack, but bump maybe. I do have a Q about it tho. You say they're rare, i didnt know that. How rare are they, because mine is a tilt column shift th350 one.

I think the column shift ones aren't as rare, this is an original floor shift , I don't know production numbers, couldn't find any , I just know the ones with the bolt in shaft are hard to find, I went though 150 columns in the last year and a half and I have only 2 of these !

Gotcha. I figured the column shift ones would be harder to find, heck I only seen a couple other column shift 69. Thanks for the info!

What is the arm at the bottom of the column for?

that's the neutral lever, the rod goes down to the trans and when you put it in park it moves the shift bowl so you can turn the key off, I usually shave these off
