The car was painted silver about 2 years ago by the Ring Brothers and the guy i got the car from had some decals on the both front fenders. I want to remove them. Whats the best way to go about it..heat gun? Being the paint is only 2 years old i am thinking there should not be a difference in the shine ect.

Thanks,
Vinc

Blow dryer works great. They typically peel off really easy.
Just make sure to heat it evenly and don't overheat it.. Don't wanna mess the paint up of course :)

Fairly new stickers should come off ok with a little heat if they weren't applied on overly fresh paint.

If they don't want to come off easy enough with minor heat, a rubber eraser wheel chucked in a drill will be a better choice. they are very soft rubber & pretty easy on the paint. Messy though.

With either method, I'd lightly buff the area anyways.

I think they are about 2 years old. I guess you could call them graphics. I'll try the heat gun first the see how that works.

Thanks,
Vince

I know I'm a bit late, but heat gun is the best way. Use a little Goo-Gone if there is any glue residue left behind.

Rapid-tac adhesive removal is what I use as a professional sign guy that has to take off decals from a day old to many decades. Stuff works great and wont bother the paint.

Your local sign shop should have some or a similar product. They may not sell it to you though, you only need a few oz. A sign supply store will sell it to you but unless you are a sign shop you will pay a lot more than you should.

You can try contacting "The Sign Syndicate" out in San Diego (858) 880-1400. Eric might be able to help you.

That may be your best bet.

If you can't just pull the sticker off a little bit of this at the top edge allowed to sit then scrape down to expose a little more of behind the sticker and slowly work your way down.
