Hey guys new to the community and wanted to share my project. Its a 1971 Firebird Formula 400. The car has been in the family for the last 30 years and has been sitting the past 12 years or so. https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2014/04/IMG_0919_zpsfd553612-1.jpg https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2014/04/IMG_0192_zps8c7e3442-1.jpg https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2014/04/IMG_0196_zpsd87afd56-1.jpg https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2014/04/9413210_zps4c90c766-1.jpg https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2014/04/101613113_zpse0a4052a-1.jpg https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2014/04/IMG_9316_zps12275777-1.jpg https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2014/04/IMG_9408_zps735a8c67-1.jpg The resto shop will be ready for subframe and suspension in the next few months and I need to figure something out. I want to go modern but not sure if I can spend $10k on everything. Has anyone looked into the speedtech performance torque arm setup? Or does anyone have suggestions on a complete setup that will get rid of the leaf springs and go full coilover? Thanks!

I like the Speedtech setup and the idea of a Torque Arm. I got a great deal on a RideTech 4 link and have their coilovers all the way around. Probably any system you go with would be fine. Off the top of my head you have RideTech, DSE, BMR, Jakes Rod Shop, Heidts and maybe TCI. Hotchkis was working on a system, but I don't know if it ever made it to market. I probably have missed a company or two. You will probably find more examples of the RideTech, Speedtech and DSE systems in second gens than any of the others.

Thanks for the welcome! I forgot about the ride tech kit... i saw that in the very beginning. I like the idea of it because its not rear end specific like the BMR or Speedtech as right now I have the factory 10bolt and I'm not sure if a 12bolt is in the immediate budget. What level did you get of the ride tech? How is the ride with the coilovers?
