Can not find this info anywhere online, does anyone know what platform c4 corvette's are built on. My friend says its an f-body...but I thought that was specific to only camaro's and tran's ams. Any info is appreciated!

The Corvette is its own platform. It has IRS unlike all Camaro generations other than the fifth gen. The front suspension is different too.

Yep, Corvette is it's own platform, a Y-body.

Corvette has always had their own platform with the short lived exception of the 4.4L 469hp Cadillac xlr

Yup. Ryan is correct. The Corvette has its own platform that was only shared once as the C5 based XLR. It is the Y-body like Randy said.

The engines have been shared with the F-body in a detuned state. The suspension and chassis have always been unique between F-body and Y-body.

F Y I
Hmmm could be a good name for a Cormaro. I have F and Y and it is awesome and there are more being built every year.
