Selling my TKO-600 5-speed. I am looking to upgrade
my TKO-600 for a Legend LGT-700 to take the car to the next level. My TKO will fit the following cars:

64-67 Chevelle
64-72 GTO/LeMans
64-69
Olds
64-69 Buick
B Body (large car): 58-Up

The transmission has never been raced and is not been beat on. I don't wind up the engine and side step the clutch - a slightly modified BOP 10 bolt rear end is not made for that kind of abuse. It shifts fine; no whining, growling or odd noises. Last oil
change showed normal consistency. I think I have about 10,000 miles on the transmission – most of which are cruising miles. A 0.68 final drive ration with 3.55 gears gets me at 2000 rpms at 65-70 mph. The 2.68:1 first gear moves this car off the line with decent authority. Much better than my Muncie.

Transmission comes with speedo cable, neutral safety switch, and back up switch and speedo plug off cap. I have an extra Kielser shifter and an extra speedo cable to go along with it. I think I even have an extra speedo gear. The extra parts are worth $500 by themselves. Does NOT come with a shifter stick or the shift ball.

Brand new, the transmission with speedo cable and off-set shifter goes for $2839 + shipping. Make no mistake, you will need to
cut the floor to get this to fit properly. This transmission has the Keisler mod on the top side of the case to allow it to fit easier in the A-Body cars. The Hurst-driveline transmission do not have this modification, making their trannies more difficult to fit in the car. You will need to get a shifter stick, transmission mount, and driveshaft. I would suggest Denny’s Driveshaft or the Driveshaft Shop for sourcing a good aluminum driveshaft. Steel would be OK, but the Aluminum is better. The patch for the tunnel mods can be had from any place that sells steel. There is nothing special about the patch for the tunnel.

I am asking $1900 + shipping and insurance. I have the original box to make the shipping very secure. I will send you several pictures to show that the transmission is in perfect shape prior to shipping. If you have any questions, PM me.

If you are running a BOP rear end and you have a 66 GTO, I would also give you a good deal on my driveshaft. If not interested, that is fine. I will continue to run what I have.

What makes it not compatible for say a 68-74 Nova or 1st Gen Camaro?

The biggest thing with these transmissions is the shifter off-set. If you are not running a console, then I think it is not mush of an issue. From what I know, the shifter offset/position is the biggest difference between the transmissions.

I'm not running a console, so it should be good to go.

Thanks, Rich. I've seen them before and have one in my Chevelle. I just wanted to see pics of the actual tko since it is a used unit.

Don't feel bad. I'm usually the late one. It's about time I was finally paying attention. Lol.
