Nice looking build. What motor mounts and oil pan you using? Any pictures of the tunnel mods for the transmission. Looking for ideas.

I will try and find some pics for you. If you put the motor in the stock location you wont have to modify the tunnel as extensive ad we did. But we wanted the motor as far back as possible. We used the Gm muscle car pan. Which I dont recommend because it hangs down a little far for my taste. If you are going to race it at all Auto kraft or canton make a sweet low profile pan for @$400.

You got a lot of lip on that. Narrowed rear and tubs?

Stock rear axle width and stock rear tubs. Lots and lots of measuring and having to have a custom set of wheels made so they fit perfect. It's definitely tight but they don't hit on anything......yet ;)

Does anyone know of a good glass guy in Orange County. We need to have the glass installed in the 65 chevelle. My original guy doesn't do it anymore. :(

so what is the benefit of the watts link on the factory style triangulated 4 link? just seems like its not really necessary, or wouldn't be much of an improvement. ive not had my coffee yet, so I may not be thinking right.

care to educate me on the benefits so I can decide wether or not its necessary on my 64?

Ok,

Let me break out my "honesty" card. So the customer brought this to me to put on his car, and that was my intitial reaction as well. Why would you need one on a triangulated 4 link? So with that said, I talked to Phase 2 about this watts line on a 4 link set up they said it would basically let the suspension do what it's design to do with out any lateral movement with the differential, even though it's triangulated it can still tweek from side to side. With that said too, it definetly does just that it allows little to no body roll, i personally think it is overkill and to rigid for a street/protouring car, full race car maybe. We haven't track tested this car yet, so I will for sure give me absolute feedback on it once we test it. I hope my babbling made sense.

Not to derail this beautiful build, but the OP mentioned the Canton pan. Here is a picture of the truck pan in a 67 El Camino, and the canton pan. Soooooo stoked how this turned out. I'm also as far back with the engine as I could go with the stock firewall. That Canton pan is just sick. Works on a stroker motor too. Good stuff.
